U.S. Senator Bob Casey to Attend Event Sponsored by Keystone State-Based AAHP Members

Executives from AAHP member companies that reside in Pennsylvania will be hosting a political event on Tuesday, Oct. 25 for one of their home state senators, Sen. Bob Casey (D). The event, which will be held at the Hyland’s Foundation Library in King of Prussia, Pa. from noon to 1:30 p.m., will be a tremendous opportunity for the homeopathic community to convey support to an important member of Congress. Casey, who was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006, serves on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, which has jurisdiction over the Food and Drug Administration.

Fundraising events, such as this one for Senator Casey, provide a unique forum to raise the visibility of the homeopathic community, as well as engage in federal policy discussions relevant to the industry. It also creates a positive identification between those who participate and the candidate. While AAHP’s Pennsylvania members, such as Boiron and Hyland’s, have had previous interactions and discussions about homeopathy with Senator Casey, this venue presents another opportunity to continue to educate the senator on the important role that homeopathic medicine plays in the health care sector.

As this event is being sponsored by individual members of homeopathic companies within the AAHP, your direct participation is both welcome and encouraged. Even if you cannot be there in person, you can still provide financial support. To place a contribution or to learn more details about the Oct. 25 event for Senator Casey, contact Pete Evich by calling 202-821-8322 or by emailing pevich@vsadc.com.

The top priority of the AAHP’s federal program is to develop genuine congressional supporters who embrace a regulatory system that promotes public health by continuing to allow for robust consumer access to homeopathic medicine. This upcoming event for Senator Casey is one such opportunity toward achieving this goal. Once again, please strongly consider participating!
